This is the email Cortez sent out to their team:
Many of you know Coach Kevin was involved in a car accident Tuesday morning. Kevin's wife, Linda, says he is in good spirits and is doing well. Kevin had surgery on his leg and arm which were broken in the accident. Both surgeries went well. Kevin will be in the hospital for at least several more days as he awaits another surgery on his arm. Please keep Kevin and Linda in your thoughts and prayers. We would like the team to make cards or write cheerful letters to Coach Kevin and place them in the green Leopard Sharks folder at Cortez Rec Center by Monday and we will mail them all together Tuesday morning. Coach Kevin and Linda appreciate the team's support.
Kevin is at Saint Mary's hospital in Grand Junction
If you would like to write him a note you can send it to the Cortez PO Box
