We look forward to seeing you all in Grand Junction this weekend!  

Attached are the psych sheets for both the 8 & Under session and the LCM meet.  I will seed the meet on Thursday afternoon.  

Please note that even though the 50 events do not have time qualifications, they must still have a time to enter that event.  Please review the psych sheet and send me a verifiable time for the events that have NT's.  

All warm-ups will be open lanes.  Each warm-up session (except for Friday morning) is 50 minutes long.  Please work together to determine the best use of lanes.  Friday afternoon will be the most crowded with about 20 swimmers per lane and then it reduces significantly for the later sessions.

Team volunteer assignments are attached.  All teams will work together to help run this championship meet.  Please arrange parent volunteers for positions assigned to your team.  

Heat sheets for the 8 & under event will be for sale for $1.00 at the meet on Friday morning.  Programs for the rest of the meet will be for sale for $6.00 which will include all session heat sheets.

Western Slope Annual Meeting

We will have our Western Slope meeting at the Championship meet Sunday July 19th, I think it's at 7am but I will double check.

2015-07 - Officials Clinic

Officials Clinic in Montrose - Sat July 11

This is a GREAT opportunity to beef up our group of officials for the Western Slope! We have had some meets this summer that were in jeopardy of not being "official" because we were lacking in number of officials. Please find some parents in your club who are interested in being officials and attend these clinics in Montrose! Please!

Saturday, July 11th.

Stroke and Turn Clinic - Saturday, 9-11am. (This is where officials start! You really don't need to be a swimming expert to do this job!)

Administrative Official - Saturday, 9-11am. (This is for people interested in setting up meets on the computer and running the computer at the meets. Good for organized people who like technology)

Starter - Saturday, 1-3pm (For current Stroke and Turn Officials ready to make the next move)

Deck Referee - Saturday, 1-3pm (For current Starters ready to make the next move)

All clinics will be held in Montrose at the Montrose School District's facility - walking distance from the pool. Driving directions - Head south on Rio Grande Ave., turn right on Apollo Rd. When you reach the bus barn, turn right (north) on Colorado Ave. At the fork, take merge left and it is the building down the hill on the dirt road.

2015-06 - Grand Junction Invite

Thank you for your meet entries and supporting the Grand Junction Invite!  There are currently 475(ish) swimmers registered and entries for new teams have been closed.  We look forward to seeing you all in June!!

Please email 800 Free scratches to camikidd@gmail.com by noon on Wednesday, June 24th.  (The meet announcement indicates June 14th…sorry for the incorrect date!)

Swimmers will need to provide their own timers and counters for Thursday distance event. 

All teams are asked to provide at least 4 timers for Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning sessions.  I will send out lane assignments as we get closer to the event.  Because of chase starts, we need a total of 36 timers each morning session.  Thanks for helping to rally your parents!!

Theme Days: 

a.       Friday – Red, White, and Blue Day…wear your patriotic colors!

b.      Saturday – Hawaiian Day…Dress in your best Hawaiian garb!

c.       Sunday – Team Spirit Day…Wear your team t-shirt and colors!

The gym adjacent to the pool will be open for families and teams to set up camp all weekend.  You may start claiming your space on Thursday afternoon.  You are welcome to leave your chairs in there overnight but CMU is not responsible for any missing or stolen items.
